It’s becoming an annual tradition with the Sox flaming out the last couple weeks of the season..with this year being different with the rest of the division being absolute trash and no possibility of pissing away the division title like last year. Is there no interest from the organization to try to catch and surpass the Astros for the 2nd seed? Baseball doesn’t lend itself as the sport where you can flip the switch. Just have this feeling that this is another divisional round disappointment this year.

Sox are a quick bounce this year.

I seem to recall reading that home field is a sub five percent advantage in baseball playoff series. I would rather have it than not but if you can't defer to Tony Larussa's opinion on how to best prepare for a playoff run, then he has no value at all.

They won 3 of 5 in Cleveland in a series that included games in which they scored one run, zero runs, and had C lineup out there after a clinch. That's not too shabby all things considered.
