I got off early to watch today.

Shit, it looks like it's gonna be one of those miserable offensive days. The Sox will probably scatter a few hits and produce nothing. Hope I'm wrong.

You're not. Yay for me.

 can the cubs hire a hypnotist to make it look like no one's on base when someone comes to the plate?

what are we hitting, under .100 with men in scoring position with 1 or 0 outs?

I know it's only the 4th inning at the time of this post, but talk about a slap in the face. These douchebags can lose as many games as they want during this season, but for the love of GOD don't lose to the freakin' Cubs.

What a horse shit strike 3 call on Konerko. It was low and inside. You can always feel the high tension in thes Cubs/Sox games. Konerko doesn't usually bitch that much even with bad calls.

Pat and Ron even thought it was questionable.

It wasn't questionable it was flat out wrong. But thanks for the report on the Cubs radio booth.

Does Ron know he's even in Chicago since this isn't Wrigley?

He seems a tad disoriented...but that's nothing new.

Just a report on the Sox radio booth. Farmer and Singleton are still boaring, lifeless, and uninteresting.

Back to you.

The Cubs have been the recipients of a few horrid calls of late, so I sympathize...to a degree. Better yours than mine.

Honest question. Is the umpiring worse than in the past? It could be that I'm developing COM (crotchety old man) syndrome early in life, but umpiring league wide has been somewhat shoddy this season.

We suck regarless of the calls. It's equal for all teams over 162.

Probably right about that...the calls even out I mean. I'll let you describe your own club as you wish.

Look at this shit. Solid outing for a Sox starter. No offense and the bullpen is about to give it up soom. It's the same god damn story every day.

I can't beleive we are wasting this Sox starting rotation. It's unreal. Buerhle and Garland should be 18-20 game winners with an average offense this year.

They are gonna be lucky to win 15 games this year. Jesus Christ.

Zambrano is dealing today. However, I see a 3-2 loss looming for the Cub.

Fuck. Ozzie went to the pen. I know Buehrle had a high pitch count but he can handle it. He's a soft tosser and durable.

Looks like Zambrano won't pitch the 8th. Good. We got a fighting chance now.

There it is. Typical Sox game as I predicted. So now it looks like a blow out in the end.

Can one of these fuckers in the bullpen get outs? Just one of these fuckers. My God.

I was overlooking section 148 and was surprised by the amount of empty seats. Also seemed to be strong cub support.

Best part of the day was the argy bargy up in section 512 (approx). At least one guy ejected and he put on a show as he was being thrown out.

Two things:

1) The umpiring was absolutely brutal this game, as evidenced by the final pitch sequence to Pods. Two pitches in the same exact location: one ball, one strike.

2) If Terrero stays at first instead of getting thrown out at second, the runner on third scores the following play. In addition, you throw a fastball at the batter's face in the event of a suicide squeeze.

Today's win means a bottle of Laphroaig for Reason. That's a HUGE win and a bit smoky and peaty too, mmmm.
