Quote:
After departing the White Sox home opener after 61 pitches, RHP Lucas Giolito should be back in the fold soon for the White Sox.

In his pregame availability on Wednesday, Chicago manager Tony La Russa all but confirmed that Giolito will make his return to the White Sox pitching rotation on Sunday against the Twins. He pitched in a simulated game yesterday and is in Cleveland with the team.

“The people that watched him said he was throwing the ball well,” La Russa said. “His health is the important part. Right now we’re checking to see how he feels today (but) we’re going to pencil him in for Sunday.”

He threw three innings in the simulated game, with injured outfielder AJ Pollock-- who may be slated for return as soon as Friday night-- being one of the batters he faced.

damn, so much for that good record at Cleveland for Keuchel

Post subject:  Re: @Cleveland double dip

Contract be dammed, you have to IL him or DFA him. This is going to be like 2016 John Danks with Keuchel.

For today, he's already given up 7. Leave him out there for 110 pitches and save the pen for game 2.

i'm sure kw and hahn can come up with a panicked deadline move to sell off youth for a 33+ y/o starter

This fucker still hasn’t recorded an out in the second inning and they’ve scored 9. Timmay not helping the cause but Keuchel doesn’t deserve any help, so fuck him.

They have two guys who clearly suck. One guy who’s fat & injured. Newly jacked Giolito who I’m assuming will have some soft tissue injury every 3 weeks. And Kopech, who may or may not be a headcase.

This game needs a mercy rule. Sox just say "we lose", and start getting ready for game 2. Last thing you want to do is kill the bullpen when you have another game in a few hours.

Maybe have Leury pitch 3 or 4 innings....

Bears in Cleveland; This is the worst game we have had in almost 30 years

Cheap Jerry could have owned this division if he would have spent a little. Sad...

How good would Stroman and Seoyo look on this team! Instead you got Pollock and some journey men in the bullpen to replace Kimbrel who you gave up Madgrial to the Cubs! LMFAO!

Eloy on the DL yet?

Is that their outfielder with a .600 OPS and ----------- defense?

Literally the only explanation for today, and TLR must still be feeling it with that game two "lineup"
