I wish…

Lynn back looking ok. Burger had the rare swing-while-being-hit-by-pitch.

Most exciting thing so far is the promo for 6/25…a bobble head commemorating the time LouBob walked in front of Eloy in straightaway left to field a lazy fly ball. That thing is electric.

I’ve never gone to a game solely due to a promo giveaway but I’m planning to be there that day.

Moncada should strongly consider dropping the switch hitting thing. He kind of walks into right handed hits. He just roped one up the middle but it always seems like he’s lucky to have made contact when that happens.

He sucks so bad this year it’s hard to remember, but he can be a very capable left handed bat. He should roll with that.

Bunch of weak hits helping the cause tonight. Moncada gets his first extra base hit in three weeks.

They could use 5 or 6 out of him. They’re not all going to be great, but if he can gut his way through this it’d be very helpful after that Texas series.

As it stands, he’s through 4 with 100 pitches so I think we’re looking at a bullpen game soon.

being able to get through bad games is a difference between average and good pitchers. It's a bad tiger lineup but Cease did what winning pitchers like Quintana don't.

Ozzie thinks Velasquez is going to have a good game. I agree.

Moncada with a two out no doubter. Man does this team need him to start hitting.

There's your runs, Vince.

I feel like someone’s going to get hurt with the way they’re swinging at this stuff.

Yoan could bat 1.000 if he only faced guys throwing 50mph center cut.

3 run bomb to RF in the first, and an opposite field double after that off of a real pitcher.

It’d be huge if he started hitting.

You know Moncada's been on the skids when he goes 5 for 6 and raises his average to .181.

Baez (benched today) is the worst batter in MLB among qualified hitters:

157 out of 157 in wRC
153 in BA
156 in OBP
153 in SLG

The offense has exploded over the past week. A few crushing losses are taking away from it.

Sweeping and not being swept is the most important stat in baseball.

Win two series and get swept, 4-5
Lose two series and sweep, 5-4

It's very important either way, if you're up 2-0 or down 2-0, that you don't put out a Sunday lineup on that 3rd day. Looks like Tony had the proper lineup yesterday. Had there not been a following off day, probably not.

The Astros won't be easy. They lose key players and still get better. Must be a rich farm system.
