I will give it until the 2nd inning before I throw the remote through the wall.

The Sox should sweep this series. They've had their week of shitty luck.

Shitty luck? Sox make their own luck and it’s not good luck. Arizona is bad but the Sox are a a 500 team and that is going to hold true until October - they will be lucky to win 2 of 3. Most likely 1 of 3 and back to 500 for them.

If Cleveland plays .500, this team needs to go 24-14 (ish) to overtake them. No chance.

I was told there was a World Series contending team in this town. I didn’t want to miss out on it.

At least it's 1 run on 2 hits instead of 3 runs on 18 hits.

Probably out of stubbornness, i have stuck with this team, but i have accepted that they aren’t any good.

Also, i understand that the 4 or 5 games a year i go to aren’t going to make or break the team, but if LaRussa is still the manager after this season, my tickets purchased next year will be zero.

Even as a Cub fan I loathe the Dbags. This is a painful series.

It's hard to remember a team being this embarrassin for 3 game stretch. The comedy of errors is unreal.

They are 5 games back now. I'm considering going tomorrow though. Tickets are cheap on StubHub and I'm bored!

Great to have Len in the TV booth tonight.

HILARIOUS when Stone set him up for singing "Nationwide is on ur side". Stone didnt even help him out, and Len did it on his own. He sounded terrible but it was hilarious.

Bennetti's bullshit has spilled over to Len now

Interesting listening about the Sox on podcast. Paid 20 mil early 80s. Jerry owned 8% now near 20. Remaining inactive investors don't care only one of 4 teams never a 100 mil contract, no player optouts, small crowds. Jerry makes money. Even below the average ok. Only Marlins, Orioles lost $ last year. Dont care team value below the average. Inactive owners will make a killing when the team is sold. They don't care when. Like investing in a long-term bond. The payday will be huge when it's sold.

Not like a long term bond. Bonds generally are bought and sold around par. The return you describe is a classic equity return where the bulk of the profit comes from capital gains. The annual income is akin to a dividend.

Right. Was loosely comparing them to my i-bonds I bought 20 years ago that interest goes back Into I'm getting 10%+ interest on now. They could double again before maturing.

How do the Orioles lose money? Are they that poorly run?
