pretty much have to sweep, with one of those games being against The Biebs with Giolito as his opponent. |

You guys ever see Sarah Jindra on that morning Channel 9 show? I like her. Also, I don't think that was Kenny Loggins; it was the Mary Jane Girls. |

Loggins also has a song called "Leap of Faith". I'm sorry...this is NOT it. They're done. |

Bagels wrote: Loggins is very underrated (that's my hipster opinion ) He's alright....nobody worries bout him. Must sweep. Two of three helps but really doesn't get you where you need to be. Further, you probably need the Twins to win again today. Cleveland's final six games are against KC (3 home 3 away) so you figure at worst they probably go 4-2. |

The season is today. Nevertheless, you move Cueto up against Bieber Thursday. Let Giolito go against Detroit Friday. |

How can the season be today when the Sox are off? Cle wins today, Sox are 4 out. Sweep and they are 1 out. Cle loses today, Sox are 3 out. Sweep and Sox would be in 1st as they would own the tiebreaker. Winning only two of three gives Cleveland the tiebreaker and then you are having to essentially pick up three games over the final 15. That would be a tall task. The most White Sox thing to happen would be the Sox win the first two, then lose Thursday 6-4 where Giolito gives up three earned and two unearned over six innings. |

One really good (8 2/3, 0 runs), and one decent (7, 3 runs). Giolito has 3. 2 good, 1 horrible (7 inn, 1 run, 6 1/3, 0 runs, 3 inn, 6 runs). It's the 3 innings/6 runs start that scares me with Giolito. In Cueto's last 4 starts, 2 have been bad though, so who knows. My preference would still be Cueto. The way the season has gone though, the Twins will win today, and we'll all start getting excited again. Tomorrow, Cease will give up 5 runs and Sox lose 11-3... |

Bieber has been sensational for over a month. I've been way over the top optimistic for about a week. Cleveland winning 4 of 5 against the Twins brutally murders that optimism. I'd like to have another couple weeks of being over my skis. Being 3 down(effectively) after a Thursday loss is still not the end. 9-3 from that point might do it. Cleveland doesn't even have to choke. 6-6, but it would be nice if TB swept them for some wiggle room. |

Well, maybe after today, the Twins will completely roll over and Sox can go 6-0 against them to finish.... Sweep the next 3 and hope.... 2 of 3 won't be enough. That puts the Sox down 4 (3 + tiebreaker) with 12 to go. Sweep and they are down 1 and have the tiebreaker. |

So, 4 games out. Yes, sweep is a must. Sox would be one game out and will hold the tiebreaker. Cleveland's magic number is 12 Sox is 22 (elmination# is 13) |

It was fun watching the MLB channel at the office today. Cleveland just hammered the Twins. 2 three run homers helps. The odds of a division leader getting swept by the 2nd place team ......not great. It would be appropriate if the Sox won game 1 of the series to give their fans 1 last reason for hope, only to then lose the next 2. |

I put the odds about 10-1 they sweep. So I've lost most of my enthusiasm. |

Weird vibe in the stadium. Only 1-0, but feels like 5-0. And unless he has a few 6 pitch innings, Cease is done after 5…. |

And that one run is entirely due to Hahn giving the team no outfield defense |
