I know no one is watching but Grandal is fucking terrible. I think he just threw to right field on an attempted steal. |

Hard to believe 33,000+ at the game last night, and 36,000+ tonight. I dont understand this. You averaged 23,000 vs Cleveland, they knock u out, and suddenly u get 36,000 vs Detroit?? |

what a great manager Cairo is |

Bagels wrote: what a great manager Cairo is Yeah, all that blame LaRussa for everything was nonsense. Is he currently a top notch manager?....He'll no. But the roster was poorly constructed. We all knew they needed to shore up right field and 2nd base and they chose to deal with those positions with replacement level players. The defense was substandard and everyone knew it could very well be an issue. I have to believe this is the end of Abreau with the Sox, with Vaughn taking over there and the team looking for a couple of legitimate outfielders, with Jimenez becoming a full time DH. Anderson is a lousy SS. They would be wise to put Elvis Andrus at SS and Anderson at 2B, where throws are shorter, unless they decide to trade him (which would be best) instead. Giolito will be going to the final year of his contract and Cueto is a free agent when the season ends if he so chooses. There will be other interested parties for him. Lynn will be 36. It might be best to blow it up and begin another rebuild. |

Yes, this was very strange. Highest-attended series for entire season! Were they just giving the tickets away? |

The most predictable outcome would have been for the Sox to get hot as shit and back door a 2nd place finish two games behind the Indians. I guess they're just going to let this thing spool out till the end. |

I'd be looking to re-sign Abreu on the cheap and trade Vaughn. You might get plenty for Vaughn. I'd also look to move Anderson and Robert if I could get the right deal for either of them. I think Colas can hit in the big leagues and he can play center if you move Robert. If you keep Robert you can live with an outfield of him, Colas, Pollock, Sheets, and Engel. Eloy has to be the main DH. You have to address second base. And it has to be with a significant player. You can't sign another old bustout and just pray. And you can't think Andrus is the answer. You're stuck with Moncada and Grandal. It's possible Grandal has been trying to play through an injury all season. I'd have him in the lineup to start the season but if he isn't performing by June 1, you just have to cut him and eat it. If you can get Moncada going, I'd look to move him as soon as possible too. You have to get these bums off the team as soon as possible if you want to win. But I wouldn't be "tanking." I think you can subtract guys you thought were good but who are really just weak losers and still be able to compete. |

Trade Vaughn and Anderson for an ace. Trade Robert and Eloy for another ace. Sign Kershaw. |

He thinks he's being cute, but the Mets are going to win the world Series with three aces, a Triple A lineup, and Pete Alonso. |
