He better play up to a second contract.

So it's a made up town carved out of the Everglades. Trade his ass to the Marlins for a couple of their good young pitchers and that way he can be home during the season.

Moron...Robert paid $5 million more than the next highest offer.

We should probably talk about Luis Robert's slack. The Sox attract lazy Cubans like a moth to a flame

Really, how fucking stupid are you to do something like that?

I haven't seen anything that dumb since Rod Zimmerman over bid to get the Cubs on the Score by $5M.

If this guy doesn't bite on a low-ball contract offer, the Sox better fire their negotiator.

He does not seem like he understands the concepts.

Jerry already got him to sign one of his lowball, futures contracts.

He hasn't really played up to that though.

It never ceases to amaze me what these unproven players who get these unbelievably lucrative contracts waste their money on.

This guy hasn't proven himself to be a major league starting centerfielder let alone a guy who can survive playing a hundred games a season. Since they are basically stuck with that contract, I move him to left field and go after Cody Bellanger and hope he can figure it out. Bellanger should like the short fences in Chicago, hits left handed, and is a very good defensive outfielder.

Bellinger is a Boras client and he made $17M this season. No thanks on both accounts. Boras will peddle Bellinger to his buddies in Washington and get 2/30 for him to be part of a no pressure rebuild.

Do you think he bought in Florida because of the weather or because Illinois has too many liberal policies?

take a little look at the numbers and tell me how he hasn't proven himself to be a MLB starting CF

The only concern with him is health and it is very valid to bring it up. He's irreplaceable when hurt.

If the Sox made him available with the current contract, they would have a very long line of suitors.

a name I have seen come up lately for FA is Brandon Nimmo. He has been frequently hurt, is less productive when he plays and can't match Robert on talent but he is estimated to be getting a multi year contract at around 20 per

It's valid to bring his health up for another reason. China dolls inevitably will see their performance drop.

He hasn't played anywhere near a full season due to injuries. And when he has been in the line-up they about put him into a witness protection program. Don't run to first hard lest he strain something. Don't hustle and dive for a ball lest you break something. He is NOT a good center fielder defensively. In three years he has gone from a fast stallion running free to an old nag pulling a cart. HE needs to be moved to left field and hope that they get someone in there to talk to him about hitting. I also wonder what idiot talked him into that stupid batting approach that he has evolved to? Its hard to imagine two easier hitters to pitch to than Robert and Moncada.

It's sad that in 2022 balcks still have to overpay significantly to live in a decent area.
