Benetti, 40, was officially hired by the Tigers (not by Bally Sports Detroit) on Thursday to replace Matt Shepard, whose contract was not renewed after last season.

Guy grew up a South Sider. It should have been his dream job and he should have been there the next 15-20 years. That's how much everyone wants to rid themselves of this ratched franchise.
