The Cubs won more playoff games with Quintana than the Sox did with Eloy and Cease. |

Padres #5 and #8 prospects. No Salas. Underwhelming return. |

Nobody really wanted Cease like Nobody really wants Fields |

Caller Bob wrote: Nobody really wanted Cease like Nobody really wants Fields Winning seven games with a 4 1/2 ERA when you’re supposed to be a stud starter will do that. |

Padres twitter is saying this is somewhere between a good haul and a Sox fleecing. |

Man the Sox pitching staff this year. Yikes. It is going to be bad bad. |

Three legitimate prospects and a throw in reliever. And now Getz doesn't have to worry that Cease will either suck or have his elbow fall off between now and late July. |

Zavala, outfielder, lots of Ks. I'm tired of lots of Ks. Pitcher Thorpe good stats. Pitcher Jairo Iriarte good stats. All A players last year. Doesn't seem like a lot. |

The good news is that these prospects have noted baseball gurus Grifol and Katz to help develop them. |

Thorpe and Iriarte both finished last year at AA. Iriarte is probably a reliever in the long run. I'm looking forward to seeing Zavala at Winston-Salem this spring. But he's a long way off. |
