Another “I’m accountable” without actually being accountable. Did he offer refunds, or lower prices next year, or an actual promise to spend? Of course not.

2025, brought to you by the same people who brought you 2024.

In no way share or form will I go to the park in 2025. I will not spend $1 on this team.

I would rather take my kids to a Boomers game than to watch the Sox.

I look forward to Jerry’s interpretation of Project 2025

He is going to report all Cubans left in the organization.

They have good pitching. I think they turn it around in a big way if they can just get some hitters here. We’ll see, I’m not as down on them as most.

Give the pitchers a full year with Katz and they will regress. They lack hitters at every position. Some hitters won’t cut it. They need to completely overhaul the entire roster and that costs too much money so it won’t happen.

They have some decent pitching. But for how long? Anyone that becomes good will not be there long.

So that is not something to be excited about.

They need 8.5 starting caliber position players.

Pretty much, although I would put the number at 8, assuming Robert had a bad year and doesn't actually suck. They have a decent amount of young starting pitching, but starting pitching is arguably the least important component of modern baseball.

Still seems to be the major factor in the betting lines, though with Crochet especially, it seemed like they knew he was only going 3-4 innings.

Jerry lists the AA Birmingham Barons winning the Southern Title as a positive for the year.

Maybe he will promote that team to the Majors to improve next year.

Could it get any worse being a Sox fan...?

C - Quero
1B - Vaughn (they should non-tender him, but probably won't)
2B - ??
3B/DH - Vargas/Ramos (neither showed much, Vargas was awful, but both are likely in the plans)
SS - Montgomery
LF - Benintendi (locked in unless they try and package him with Crochet which would very White Sox)
CF - Robert (may be traded, but his value is very low)
RF - ??
DH - ??

Quero and Montgomery should be held back until they actually deserve to be here (and to extend their time with the White Sox), but, assuming they trade Crochet, they need a legitimate top prospect at any offensive position.

This offense will continue to struggle unless Montgomery/Querto/Robert can play at higher levels.

Montgomery seems to be a top prospect in name only. He can't propel a bat forward.

Francona would be insane to want to get involved in this organization.

It's pretty telling that, despite the fact they were grabbing any infielder with a glove and a pulse and putting them on the roster, Montgomery was never called up.

He would be a good hire, which is why it won’t happen.

Some people like a challenge. I’m telling you the bones are there to put something together, you just have to know how to squeeze every last drop out of that offense.

JR(loyal to his board and employees but not the customers) is truly embarrassed for the first time. Things could get better, I don't know. He could get over his embarrassment and move to Nashville.

He's been out of baseball technically so doesn't that rule him out by the ridiculous criteria that Getz shared publicly?

If Francona does want to manage again, why wouldn't he take a job with a team ready to win? Even if he wanted a challenge, the White Sox are probably 2 years away from being even close to mediocre and there's no indication that they would pay to keep any of the young pitching they have.

The White Sox entering year number 3 of a possible 520 loss 5 year stretch might of soured Francona. Though the obligatory "great guy" Jerry praise was good for a laugh.

The future off-season moves for the White Sox getting trade fleeced and rummaging through bottom of the barrel managerial candidates is going to be humorous.

Sizemore is their guy. He did such a great job keeping the team interested last year. And how much are they going to have to pay a manager with almost no coaching experience. That’s more important than anything for Jerry. Remember this is the team that hired Robin Ventura with like 1 year of experience as an assistant high school coach.

You don’t think playing baseball for 40+ years Gives a
a guy bona-fides for managing? Why would someone have to coach or manage in the minors before becoming a major league manager when they played the game for that long?
