It would really be foolish to not be a power hitting club when you play 81 games at the Cell. The place is a launching pad.

ideally, you want to develop players that can 'get on, get 'em over, get 'em in' at the big league level, but the with a lineup that consists of thome, konerko, dye, pierzynski on a daily basis, you have to be considered a power hitting club

Right now, they are neither.

They need power to win games at the Cell, but you have to have the ability to manufacture runs when you aren't hitting them. Right now, the Sox are basically a HR hitting team (sometimes), but they have really struggled to drive in runs with men on base.
