they have what...23 or such games left, and they're already near 80 losses. sure, its seems highly unlikely that they'll go 3-21 or whatever to end the year, but they're sure going to make a good run at it. this is the first time i can ever remember being actually embarassed to be a sox fan. this is some of the worst baseball ive ever seen...and that includes all those years of futility on the northside.

It's embarrasing - and while I don't think they will get 100 losses, probably around 93-95, this is a team that has clearly cashed it in.

I look at the core of this club, and one part of me believes they can get back into the race next season if they add a few parts, but the other part says this is a bad offensive team with no bullpen or a 4 and 5 starter.

I'm just disgusted, but I'm looking forward to ending this season, and hopefully being aggressive this off-season.

Remember a short time ago when they swept the Tigers in Detroit, they were like 9.5 back and North started talking like Farmio- "if they can sweep another series or two they're right back in it"

Yeah you can tell we as sox fans have fallen off a bit from 05 when we are talking about well we cut the lead to single digits.....

after Friday night's game, the rest of the season really does not matter anyway so why use your best players to beat the Indians when all you are doing is getting ready for next year? I am guessing the Pale Hose brass (as well as Detroit's Tigers) loved his comments in response to the Blue Hair who called all livid that Oswaldo brought and left in MacDougal during Friday night's meltdown.

It wasn't just North who was propagating this stupidity. There was more than one puddingheaded loon on this very board arguing the same point, and rather strenuously so. Embarrassing!
