This is coming from Ken Rosenthal (Fox Sports)

Miguel Cabrera-3B- Marlins Nov. 11 - 1:15 pm et

The White Sox are in the mix for Miguel Cabrera, with the intention of playing him in left field, FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal reports.
Rosenthal suggests a package of Josh Fields, Gio Gonzalez and Jerry Owens, though he admits it could be too light. Which it would be. Trading Jon Garland for a couple of prospects and then packaging those prospects with Fields and/or Gonzalez might work. The Marlins could also have some interest in Nick Masset and David Aardsma.

ok. so then that means they're gonna try and re-sign crede? and they would still needa CF. im not ready to give up on josh fields just yet...especially for a guy who isnt all that good in LF anyway.

I think if something like were to happen, Cabrera could eventually move to 3B after next season.

I doubt this trade happens though.

Don't waste your time with these rumors. This one is not going to happen.

Cabrera is NOT goign to play LF!

and The Marlins only want Starting Pitching. They have a tone of offense and young prosepcts.

Thats like trying to trade the Rays a young OF prospect.

apples and oranges. with only 5 people on the floor one superstar can do much much more on a basketball team than one can on a baseball team. and dont even begin to put kobe in the same category as miguel fucking cabrera. go finish your food, jackass.

Frank wake up to want to keep Josh Fields over Miguel Cabrera really makes you the crap that comes out of the jackass. Just look up the stats & then come back & say you are sorry. Oh my bad we already know you are sorry.

ill spell my point out for you since you apparently are too dense to grasp it. trading josh fields and/or other youngsters does not make this team all that much better. this team needs more speed, better defense, and serious bullpen help. miguel cabrera, while having an average at best glove, does not provide anything in the other 2 categories.

Trading for Cabrera would be a great offensive addition, but if it means moving Konerko and Garland, plus not being able to acquire any additional veteran pitching help, the Sox may be entertaining, but they'd probably lose a bunch of 7-5 games.

This team needs help in several different areas - I just hope Kenny's off-season is more than signing Hunter for huge money and batting him 5th or 6th in the lineup.
