Serious! is anything bad from today? Everything everyone calls up to say that is bad, Ranger has an excuse for.

Dotel not good- I don't agree, he has been good when healthy BULLSHIT, the guy has an ERA of 4.00+ since 2004! Thats 4 years ago man!

Buerhle- He is our #1 and let up 7! and all I get is the close play at first and maybe it is different!

Every caller he disagrees with and has an excuse for what could have happened.

I have a new rule. I actually started it last year. If I listen to Ranger's post game show it's only after wins.

Not because of Ranger or anything he says. I just hate post game shows after losses.

Are you serious? I'd like to see what it's like to live in your alternate universe.

Dotel has been a decent reliever in his career, except when he's injured. Sub 4 career ERA. Take a look at the stats again, Dawg.

You obviously did not listen (or you did no want to listen) to the entire postgame, because I said NUMEROUS times today that Buehrle was awful.

And the callers I disagreed with did nothing but rip into the umpiring (which I mostly defended...I still think they only blew one of the three "bad" calls). I even said at one point that the biggest reason for the loss was the start by Buehrle and that usually when your starter gets lifted in the second, you're gonna lose.

Anyone that listened to the postgame today will confirm this.

Must be nice to only hear what you want to hear, huh? Try paying attention next time and then feel free to offer your opinions.

(I'll go on a limb and say Dawg will have no response to this).

The heat ranger gets is just dumb. I am not even a sox fan, but when I have Ranger on, he is far more critical then anyone else who broadcasts for the team. If these comments were at Farmer and Hawk, I would understand, but Ranger has been nothing but honest in my opinion.

What do people want, for him to get on the air and just do a North and rip people for no reason or just for reaction. Should he say, dont tune in folks, it aint worth it, that isnt good business.

As far as dotel goes, yes, he was good before the injury, but post surgery, not so good and I think Kenny might have made a mistake on this one, thats just me though.

Now if you will all excuse me, I have to go freak out some more over the the cubs lost today.

Agreed. I think people just like to egg him on her cuz he posts here. Ranger will say stuff worthy of criticism. Let's not beat him up for bull shit.

1 down. 161 to go (plus playoffs). How are you feeling Ranger? Are you already bitter?

I like to listen to Ranger after Sox games and I'm not particularly a Sox fan. He's a good listen, and he's plenty critical.

It's the first game. If people keep this up for the next 6 months there are going to be a slew of stress-related deaths in CSFMBland.

Ranger, at least there were no "Dey shoulda never traded dat Rowand guy" calls today as far as I heard. So one would have to think that's a step in the right direction.

I'm convinced, when the Score gets those calls, it's done on purpose by the caller. They know the "Excessive Rowand love" has become a source of ridicule at the station so they say it to live up to that meat ball stereotype. Not all of them but certainly some of them.

My wife is a sox fan, so she drags me to a few games a year and I was sitting next to a guy who told me that if the sox still had rowand, they would have won the world series in 2006 and 2007. He also told me he loves mike north, sooooo, take that for what its worth.

Rowand was great for that 2005 team, but IMO he is by far the most overrated player in Chicago sports history.

The Ranger troll has to be one of the better on this board.

Come on guys don't you know that if the Sox hadn't traded Rowand they would have won in 06 and 07 and for the next 20 years?

Not only that but the Bears would have won the Super Bowl in 07 and this year.

The Bulls the NBA title.

The Hawks the Stanley Cup.

The Cubs the NL Pennnant.

We'd be out of Iraq.

Peace in the middle east.

No housing crisis.

Thome, with little of his salary covered by the Sox.

You dont know how happy I am that you posted that. I had this debate with a buddy of mine who is a sox fan and he told me the sox were covering his whole salary.

I don't know how much the Sox are on the hook for this year, but in 06 and 07 the Phillies were paying Thome a large amount of his salary.

Ranger, I'm curious to know which one you thought they blew? Cabrera clearly interfered with Peralta at 2B but from the replays I saw Garko's foot was off the bag at 1B and Shoppach didn't tag Crede at home.

The forum has turned into a transcript of the postgame show.

(1) Caller/poster disagrees with Rongi.

(2) Rongi presents a long and animated defense against a real or perceived criticism.

(3) Dials turn/browsers close.

Didn't we just have this discussion last week? How long till we have it again?

So as I did not really watch Dotel today and I assume he is healthy that what happened?

He was terrible yesterday. But if you want to judge a reliever on the first regular season outing, feel free. If it continues for a while, then there's a problem. Masset had a great day yesterday, that doesn't man he's gonna be great all year.

Keyser, they definitely blew the Crede call. No question. But I still thought Garko may have had his toe on the bag for a split second after he caught the ball. Maybe I need to see it again.

Courtesy, isn't that exactly what a message forum is? You make a comment about something/someone and somebody responds to it...but maybe I'm in the wrong place. What's your objection with my participation? Sorry if I'm bothering you.

Part of the problem with these forums is that the idiot caller is largely forgotten or dumped, but the meathead posts linger into infinity or at least until disappearing on page 3.

What can you say when your opening day guy gets rocked. Gotta just move on.

Now if he gets rocked next time, then the flashing red lights go off!

If Buerhle gets rocked again in his next start, just to make some people happy, Ranger should go down to the clubhouse, slap him, tell him he sucks and then report on what he did. Then the first caller would say he was being to rough on Buerhle.
