Is this gonna happen tonight or not? I'm pretty excited about my seats tonight and would really be pissed if I couldn't take advantage. |

I would think as long as it stays dry they will play. If not, you will see a double header tommorow or sunday. |

They're calling for rain and/or snow tomorrow and Sunday, so I would guess a make-up game might be later in the season. I heard that they're optomistic that they'll get tonight's game in. |

They canceled last nite's game, so they will do everything they can to play at least 2 of these 2 as scheduled. |

Frank, you would do it to anyone else so here you go. So if it stays dry they will play? Really? quite an observation if you are going to dish it |

They'll try to get this one in. a.) It's the first game of the series. They canceled the Twins game early, in part, cuz it was a night game on get-away-day for the Twins. b.) It's a Friday game. Advanced tickets sales were probably good. The Twins game they cancelled probably wasn't. c.) They have to try to get this one in cuz Saturday and Sunday games look like they are more likely to be canceled. |

For those who don't read the gambling section. I've got this game over 10.5. I'm predicting 2 homers for Konerko tonight. I think Konerko will hit Willis all year. He likes the Willis type pitcher. Blazing straight fast ball pitcher. Konerko hits those guys well. I think the Sox have figured out Willis after seeing him last week. I'm hoping he'll be just as wild and I think the Sox will hit him this time. |

So if it stays dry they will play? Really? quite an observation if you are going to dish it IIRC, the Sox canceled thier first friday nite home game last year because of cold weather. Dry as a bone that nite. Stick to the cubs. |

Willis out after 2 batters. Damn. I wanted him in there today. Konerko didn't get to face him. That was the basis of my 2 homer prediction. What the hell. I'll stick with the prediction. Tigers bullpen sucks too. So I'm still confident I'll get my 10.5 over. |

Ump will call anything close. They want to keep this game moving cuz of the weather threat. Contreras will get calls too. He already has. |

Shit. This Lopez has some good stuff. Don't know how long he can keep it up with his stamina. |

I know Contreras gave up 3 runs in the 3rd. But his stuff is great tonight. Breaking balls are really biting hard. That's a good sign. |

Here we go. Grilli sucks. Sox need to tag him. |

That was a good strike to Thome. Don't know why he was bitching other than he was embarrased. Of course Hawk is at his defense. It was a good strike. |

Hawk is unlistenably bad when he's on his high horse. For the rest of the game he's going to whine about every call that doesn't go their way. That Thome strikeout is going to be referenced about 8 more times, at least. When he's not complaining about that, he's not going to talk at all. It's unprofessional, to say the least. |

Ozzie should make A.J the DH now that Thome is tossed. I don't think Swisher is available cuz of a minor injury. |

You're right Irish Boy. I don't like the Hawk when he gets like that. He never mentions when the other team gets a bad strike zone. It only happens to the Sox. Plus, Thome's pitch was a strike anyway. But I accept it from the Hawk. I ignore whatever he says regarding umps. |

I don't watch a lot of Sox games- I'll see maybe 10-15 on TV during the season, listen to another dozen or so on the radio and maybe attend around 3-5. But it seems like he gets like that in maybe a third of the games I watch: either he'll be mad about a call, or he'll just stop talking entirely, especially when they're down big. The other times he's OK, but that happens so often that I get irritated quickly. I muted the TV since the fifth. If I were a big Sox fan I might not be as upset, since I suppose that I'd be angry too, but he eggs it on. Considering that a lot of people have accused Kenny Williams and Ozzie Guillen of having a bit of a persecution complex, I don't know that's the best way to present your product. Compare that to Ron Santo, who I really honestly enjoy listening to as a Cubs fan, because even though he does get emotional, he doesn't get on these stretches. He rarely complains about the umps. He gets excited because he legitimately loves the Cubs, like Hawk loves the Sox, and he gets angry as well, but its rarely so bitter. I'm probably biased though. |

Turned the volume back on, and two more complains in the bottom of the 7th. To Rongey! |

That was not a strike to Thome. |
