I'm not sure why that's important. |

Sox v. Cubs attendance is the most overrated argument in town. Wrigley Field will always draw plain and simple. Its not important and I couldn't care less. |

Quite honestly, the best retort is none at all. Since other Sox fans have voiced their opinions, I'll throw mine as a Cubs fan in there. It's the silliest argument in all of Chicago sports and that covers alot of asinine topics. Pointless, not salient, stupid, and a host of other derisive terms. Leave it out of any discussion between the teams and let their overall records do any comparisons you wish to make. |

+1 Its on par with the stat that "most car accidents occur within 20 miles (or somethinglike that) of them home." Well no shit they do...you're doing your errands, grocery shopping, taking the kids to school, and maybe working within that radius, so thats where you do most of your driving. |

I actually enjoy the fact that I can get tickets to almost any game I want. |

While I usually would not focus on the attendaance issue either, as KC on a Tuesday night might draw 20,000, but I do question the Yankees? As a Sox fan, is the Yankee game marked on the schedules as a premiere game in the minds of the fans? I would think that Boston and NY are top games? Maybe the Yankees are also no longer the draw? |

The Yanks are just anothe team. The media hypes it. And yes, they are a "prime" game, but regardless of price I would rather see the Sox play a division game on a Saturday nite than a weekday against the Yanks. |

The Yankees are no more exciting to me than the New York Giants are. When the Yankees were winning titles, it was different. Now they are a team that spends lots of money on players, wins a lot of games, and normally lose in the playoffs. I wouldn't expect the Yankees to be excited to have the White Sox come in. I am more interested when we play Detroit, Cleveland, and Minnesota. If KC stays competitive, then we can add them too. |

Yes, the Cubs have more fans in this city 60-40 I estimate. But the people who go to Wrigley aren't all Cubs fans. That's why they sell out every game. It's a big party. I'm not knocking that. It's just a fact. Sox fans don't want to go to every game in April. Even if it's the Yankees. Even if it's good weather. That's just how we are. We like to watch them on TV. Plus, times are tough economically for a lot of people. Sox will draw over 2.5 million this year. Close to 2.8 if they're in the race in September. Cubs fans - you can stop pointing out that you have better attendance. We all know that. Still, there is a huge Sox fan base in this city. All Sox fans are watching the games. |

Murphy runs that sound byte into the ground. I guess I said that because I only listen to his show every so often. |

Who is "we"? If "we" represents the Sox fanbase then they need to be cutting "us" a check. |

Quite obviously he's not a true Sox fan like us. He can read since he has a newspaper and he knows how to keep score. |

Good deal, when in doubt, put it on the cubs fans, that way it deflects any issues we may have...good idea. |
