I think this Crede issue might even get tougher now. Let's just say it is July 15th and the Sox are 4 games or less out? Do we just sit on Crede almost knowing he is going away? I would start looking at Milwaukee and St Louis prospects as I think they would be the most likely to trade for a 3B. |

What? If we're in it we keep him and take the risk of losing him at the end of the year. Jeez. It's so simple. Trying for a division is worth risking losing him for nothing. |

The Sox have been in first place for the majority of April. |

Not in attendance, and that's what is really important! |

Given Crede's hot start, apparent return to form in the field, and contract situation, he is highly tradeable; his market value is arguably as high as it was after the 2005 season. If I were Kenny (and god knows I wake up every day wishing that I was), I would still be listening to offers, but one would really have to knock my socks off for it to be consummated. I agree with Beardown, it's worth losing him for nothing and stagnating the growth of Josh Fields if it means post-season play. |

If it is get away day, the team is not coming back to that teams field and the rain delays the game at anytime for more than 1 hour, managers can agree to have a Home Run derby to determine the outcome of the game. 10 batters chosen, each batter gets 3 pitches from BP coach of that team Most homeruns wins! |

is what the man wrote (or woman) If they are in first not even a question! I know what he said. I said if they "are in it" then you don't trade him. 4 games out means they are in it. |

Bottom line, no home town discount, Crede is gone. Crede is looking for 13-15 mil and if he goes on the FA market, he could get 16-17 with a good year, Sox will never pay that. |

But think about it. From 2000 to now Kenny has never done a white flag trade. How many times did he trade for Alomar and Everett. We were 4 or 5 games out in 2004 and Kenny bought at the deadline. He's never given up since he's been here. |

Well maybe they can trade for another 220 hitter and hype to the point of wanting to puke. |

If Kenny didn't have a firesale last year, he certainly won't this year either. |
