Looks like the Sox offense is back to the way it was last year. They had a hot week or 2, to start the season, but now they can't hit again. In today's lineup, the first 4 hitters are hitting below .230, and I believe only 2 above .270. |

Yeah. The line up sucks right now. Crede hits one off the top of the fence. Swisher lines out and Crede is stranded at 3rd. Figures. |

So much for Crede winning a gold glove this year. He already has 6 errors. This last one cost us 3 runs. |

Can someone explain this Nick Swisher love to me? He's terrible at bat. So there's a ton of love for the guy cause he's energetic? |

Its the retarded, Fire and Passion argument again. He does work the counts, but he isn't a leadoff hitter for sure. |

He has been awful lately. The first 8-10 games he wasnt bad at the plate at all. His OBP was like .150 higher than his average at one point. Now hes not showing nearly the patience he was then. The entire offense is annoying to watch. They came out not only hitting well, but getting to pitchers and drawing walks. Now they go on 18 inning scoreless streaks. I'd agree with Frank that its starting to look like last year. |

I was just gonna say that fucking Swisher takes a lot of called 3rd strikes. Swing the bat Mr. Fucking Energy. Mr. 220. Hey, it's nice that you walk but can we get the average to .280 please? |

Its Chicago. As blessed as we were to have the best basketball player and best running back ever play in town, there is certainly a lot of bad play from all teams to make up for that. |

I would hope for 260, he has never hit 280 for a year, actually his high is 262. |

I was listening to the White Sox Radio postgame show after their latest loss, and while 670 "The SCORE's" Chris Rongey tried to tell anyone who'd listen that Jerry Owens' speed wouldn't mean a thing if he didn't get on base, this team needs a shakeup of some kind right now. With Roy Halladay staring the Sox right in the face Sunday afternoon, manager Ozzie Guillen wishes he had Owens and a few more options on the bench to sit his veterans such as Paul Konerko, Jim Thome, A.J. Pierzynski & Joe Crede because of the FieldTurf surface at the Rogers Centre, the former SkyDome in Toronto. They're not getting any faster, let along younger. After three more with the Twins this week at "The Cell," a West Coast road trip is staring this team in the face next weekend in Seattle. You don't have to be a Bulls or Sox fan to know how "The West Isn't Won" in recent years... |

Nas wrote: I hated the trade for Swisher before the season started and I hate it even more now. In trading 101 you learn that you can't trade a bunch of prospects for an average player. The Sox are the A's AAAA affiliate.
Yeah. You did say that. I thought he'd hit 30+ homers and bat .280. Still early, but you might have been right Nas. Swisher was good the first 2 weeks. Now he's had a bad 2 weeks. I think we have to get him out of the lead off spot. He'll be a better hitter down in the line up. But I don't know how we can. No where to put Owens with Quentin playing great. Danny Richar leading off and playing 2nd? That probably wouldn't work. So we have to stick with Swisher. |

Both of these statements are true, and the rest of that post I think was copy pasted from somewhere.. |

Here we go again. The Sox have made a lot of mediocre pitchers look like Cy Young winners in recent games. Now they are actually facing a Cy Young type in Halladay. Still, some weak at bats. Christ, every now and then you have to beat a good pitcher. Can't always use that as an excuse. |

You should be listening to Farmio and Stoney. It is amazing how much better Ed sounds with a real partner. It is a very good listen. Hell, Stoney even made Hawk better. |

the sox radio call has been synched up to the tv call for most of the season. there's no reason to continue listening to / being aggravated by the hawk, unless you're a closet masochist, in which case, flog away. |

I'm getting sick of all this unselfish hitting. These guys are taking what the pitcher is giving them and hitting too many opposite field singles. They should be trying to hit a fucking 5-run homer every fucking time they're at the plate. They're also not getting nearly enough strikeouts or pop-ups on the infield. |

Man, it seems like we've been playing the Blue Jays for 10 straight days. I'm sick of looking at their uniforms. Look at this. 0-0 in the 7th. Man. Another great pitching job by us. Hey Sox, I'll take that solo homer in this game. That might be all we need. |
