That's the power of a crowd. People don't have to think when they have others behind them.

I agree. It's stupid. You have to understand the power of a crowd. Somebody starts this and everybody joins in.

Not all of these people are idiots.

It's like when they start throwing garbage in the Wrigley bleachers. A few people do it and then the sheep follow. Next thing you know everybody is doing it.

Beardown put it fairly well. Mob mentality makes for some stupid behavior by otherwise rational people. Happens everywhere and, while that doesn't make it right, it does shed light on the stupidity.

I wish I could have got to the PA system and told everyone to shut up

This has become the battle cry at US cellular after any good win. CUBS SUCK-CUBS SUCK-CUBS SUCK

It's not just a few people, it is a ton of people.

My point is that of the mob I guarantee you there was a doctor, lawyer, and a retired millionaire chanting "Cubs Suck!!!". You get swept away it these stupid moments. Intelligent people were chanting "Cubs Suck!!!" after this Sox win. You gotta understand that.

Sox fans mentality to always worry about what the other half of town is doing/up to. Sox fans can never enjoy the victory for what it is. It gets old really quick for those not mentally challenged.
