Nice win. The pitching matchups really are favorable for the Sox in this series. I say they take 3 of 4 with the lack of Percival coming in to play in one of the wins. |

Yep, BUehrle will probably give it up again on Sunday. I have no confidence in him anymore. |

What the hell happened to him? The Sox with a healthy/good Buehrle would be running away and hiding with that division. As it is, they are damned impressive. That's a good pitching staff right there. |

My future son in law is a sox fan and I watched a Buerhle game with him about two weeks ago. His pitches all seem to be up and not as much movement on his breaking stuff. I wonder if he is hurt. |

If the Sox were able to hit with any sort of consistency, and they werent trotting guys out there with batting avg's in the low low 200's, they'd have the best record in baseball. |

I am all for it and don't know why he isn't playing 5 games a week out there. He is hitting at least 35 points higher than Swisher, and is without question the best defensive outfielder, with the glove and arm, on the Sox roster. I'm tried of the cameras constanstly focusing on Swisher, tired of those stupid ass commercials, and tired of his .203 avg. In fact, I think I hate him and might have to fight him. |

What's the deal with Tropicana Field? If you thought the Florida Marlins have had attendance issues with Dolphin Stadium in Miami, there were good seats available in St. Peterburg, and likely will be the case the whole weekend. As for Game 1, how about Paul Konerko's mammoth homer hitting one of those rings and then ricocheting back onto the field? Yikes!!! Also, John Danks threw a lot of pitches once again, but he seemed to find ways to keep the Rays' lineup off the field... |

We're a long way off but Buehrle wouldn't be on the playoff roster if postseason started tomorrow. Maybe in the pen but I don't even think we need him there. |

Also, John Danks threw a lot of pitches once again, but he seemed to find ways to keep the Rays' lineup off the field... i've posted before about my experience @ tropicana for a sox series down there. it was definitely strange. official attendance was in the 10K range, but i think that was 3K too generous. the field level was full and the upper deck was totally empty. fans cheered for both teams in both a high scoring game and what i think was a low-scoring game the next day. you always hear the "Let's Go / White Sox *clap clap, clap clap clap*" chant on the broadcast, which tells me there's a contingent of Sox fans who either travel or live there and attend the series each year since i can remember. the urge to cheer for the rays was likely due, again, to generosity, and also a bit of excitement for the young players coming up. from here on out, if they keep up this very """"real"""" good season, i think they'll be able to fill the new stadium - much friendlier confines, from the look of it - on a fairly regular basis. |

Man, I want to see Alexei play everyday and Uribe leave the team when he's healthy. Way to hit the curve out of the park. |

I want to see Brian Anderson play everyday and Swisher can do whatever the fuck he wants as long as its not on the MLB diamond. |

1 run, a solo HR by Alexai Ramirez of all people, in the last 16 innings. The Sox offense is gonna need to come around here some day. The pitching cant be this good all season. |

That ball was screaming, "Nick, please hit me!" It's only a matter of time before we're in third place. |

I'm done with the asshole that is the sorries excuse for a big league hitter I've ever seen. Fuck you Nick Swisher. Honestly I would be happy if he broke his leg tommorow and was done for the year. Why Ozzie keeps trotting his ass with that .201 batting average out there I'll never fucking know. This was a horrid series. Offense was absolutely pitiful. It was disgusting to watch. 3 great pitching performances fucking wasted. |

I dont think I'd say this was a great performance by Buehrle, but yes it is very annoying seeing great pitching daily being wasted so often. |

The same thing goes for the continual stranding of runners on base as well as missing opportunities to break games open when they have the chance. |

How many times have they had a guy on third with less than two outs and not gotten a run? Im tired of seeing 13 hits and 3 runs in a game. |

This is the kind of series that can start a major slide. It also could be a series that if they finish 2 games out at the end of the year where we look back and think....shit, they lost 3 of 4 to Tampa when Tampa was playing well. |

After the game, Ozzie said to expect Kenny to make changes by Tuesday. Also said that hes done protecting guys, that hes been doing that for the last year and a half. |

Tampa's going to be playing well all season. That team is going to be an 85+ win team. I'd like to see the Sox beat a good team sometime, especially on the road. They've handled Cleveland well, which is good, but my memory tells me they've struggled against the better teams in the AL. They'll have to show that they can beat some of those teams. I also don't really have much hope that the offense will get a whole lot better. We've been waiting for the offense to turn it around for a year and a half now- after a while, you just have to conclude that it's going to be a mediocre offense. That might be enough though if the pitching holds up. |

What is Kenny going to do with this team? If you look at the issues, you really can't get rid of any of them - Thome, Konerko, Swisher, Buerhle. All are locked up in long term and/or expensive deals. Maybe they release Uribe and commit to Ramierz for the rest of the year? The bullpen has been solid and outside of Buerhle, the staff has been very good. There just isn't much to be done with the current roster. |
