I thought it was either Yaz or Ted Williams. |

This makes you look like the dumbass. W's and L's are the only stat that matters in sport, ultimately. I know its just burning you that the Sox are in first place. |

I could care less, sox fans are the most paranoid fans I have ever dealt with, un-fricken real. |

You sound like an idiot. You are the one who hates the Sox yet have 90% of your posts in their section. Even Cubs fans are laughing at how pathetic you are. |

The Fire and The Passion never did THAT in Sox uniform (go yard from both sides of the plate). |

I love this thread. Since SLOT came up with Nick-o-meter he's 11 for 26 (.423 BA) with 4hr's & 10rbi's & 11runs. Between the motivation provided by the Nick-o-meter & the batting advice from Mike North, Swisher's HOF path is now as clear as ever. BTW, Bigfan, Can you create a "Thome's lack of talent" & "Konerko's lack of talent" trolls to light a fire under their collective asses? |

And what happens when the're both in the line up the same day? |

Ya know, I hate Swisher a little less as his average goes up. Funny how that works. He's getting extra base hits now too. That's what I want. Get doubles. It's clear he's not gonna hit 35 homers like I thought he would. Maybe he can get to 25. |

Grand slam or no grand slam, Nick Swisher always seems to have fun, no matter if he continues to work at first base or returns to the outfield when Paul Konerko returns from his oblique injury, probably after the All-Star Break. That's the impression the longtime voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Vin Scully, said when Swisher and the White Sox took on the Bums at Dodger Stadium. I also stayed up late enough to see him giving the gang on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" some of his "Dirty 30" clothing line, complete with the Sox logo and his current number. We can order what Chris Rose, John Salley and company got from "Swish" on Nick's personal Web site, which I believe is www.nickswisher.net. I think he's a throwback player. |
