Heard from Stone today that while he is getting better, he still probably will not be available until Wednesday at the earliest. He has not pitched since the last Cubs game on the 29th. Why the fuck is he not on the DL? Sox have gone without him for a week already, and given the competition this week, I'm sure the pen can handle late inning leads. Let him get his rest this week and over the All Star break, and get another healthy arm out there.

Actually, the Jenny Jones-looking Kerry Sayers on Comcast SportsNet yesterday hinted that Bobby could be headed for the disabled list before tomorrow's game in Kansas City if his back doesn't respond to additional treatment. The White Sox do need to make a roster move to activate Paul Konerko from the DL. As much as the Sox like DeWayne Wise, the journeyman outfielder, Brian Anderson or shortstop/second baseman Juan Uribe will have to go to make room for Konerko on the big club if Jenks isn't disabled. To me, Uribe is the most expendable because of his low batting average & his limited at best playing time. A gut feeling: Uribe will be "designated for assignment", and the Sox will have 10 days to trade or release his sorry butt!
