Jim Abbott THEN: Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Abbott, who was born without a right hand, won 87 games during his 10-year career when he played for four teams: the California Angels, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. One of the highlights of his career came in 1993 with the Yankees, when he pitched a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians. Abbott could also field the ball and hit it, belting a triple in spring training in 1999. NOW: Abbott, who retired from baseball in 1999, throws out the first pitch before Game 2 of the ALDS in 2004. He currently works as a motivational speaker and lives in Michigan, where he grew up, with his busty wife and two children. |

I was always disappointed that the baseball Nintendo games at the time never portrayed him with one hand. |

RFDC wrote: busty wife? I think he edited that in as a tribute to the North/Creech email about a busty wife. |
