Might be the last time Sox fans see Frank Thomas play. Maybe. I don't know if somebody will want him next year. A's are never on national TV so I won't see him play again after this series. I don't have the MLB package. |

It's nice to play shitty teams. We just got done with the Royals. Now we have the A's for three. Then we come home for 3 against the Mariners. We could be in the mist of a 9 game winning streak. We need a big streak like that. No better time to get it then now. |

Twins won today. They get to kill the Mariners before we get them. |

Would be really nice to take game 1. This stadium sucks and has carried horrible luck for the Sox. Win tonite, and the chances are excellent to take at least 2 of 3. Nasty pitch to Big Hurt there. |

Sox should win the series. I had a layover in San Francisco last week and the paper was just filled with A's angst and woe. They're awful this year, so that should mitigate the house of horrors aspect this year. |

It's had nothing to do with this stadium. The A's have had good teams this decade. That's why we have lost. They had an OK team this year and then Billy Bean traded everybody away cuz they weren't gonna catch the Angels. A's have been really bad over their last 20 games or so. |

Floyd has gotten out of a couple jams. But he can't walk the lead off guy. These guys can't hit. Go at them!!! Especially with a 3-run lead. |

Great!!! Some ass hole in Oakland is doing a frog horn thing. He's doing it as Gavin is winding up and throwing!!!! I can't believe they allow that. |

It was good to see the White Sox get to this no-name lefty in the top 1st this eve, but Gavin Floyd's pitch count seems to be a little high, somewhere in the 70's right now...This ballpark is goofy with the football lines for the Raiders & all the foul ground! What's with the air horn? This isn't Minnesota, is it? |

Everytime they play in Oakland, there's some jackass with a fog horn. |

Frank, that horn makes it sound more like a Raiders' game than an A's game...Besides, Ed Farmer's been wisecracking a little bit about the football lines in the outfield on the radio side with "Black" Jack McDowell...

Credit Uribe with an RBI there. |

I won't blame Uribe. The error didn't allow Frank to get on base. Floyd had him 1-2 and gave up a hit then the homer. |

Floyd was decent today. We'll get a couple more runs and he'll get his 13th win. |

No, it only turned a pop foul out into a single. The way Uribe came charging in like that, I could see that coming. AJ probably had a much better chance. Give any hitter, certainly a slugger as good as Frank Thomas, 2 outs in one at bat and he'll make you pay. |

I know. It was an error but you should still be able to get the .250 Frank when you have him 1-2. Errors happen. Make a pitch. It wasn't an easy play for Uribe. He was playing way back. Tell you the truth, the easiest chance on that play, was for Floyd to make it. But pitchers never go after fly balls. A.J's back would have had his back towords the plate. That's tough too. |

I hope I'm wrong. But I don't see 3 runs being enough to win this game. |

Will 4 do it, Frank? Quentin. Big Time blast. 33rd Homer!!! He's closing in on the MLB lead. He might be tied now. Not sure. He's up 4 or 5 in the AL. |

Ya know, if Anderson didn't look over his shoulder and just picked up his 3rd base coach, he would have scored. That hesitation cost him. No reason to look back at the ball. Pick up your coach. |

Fuck. Now the Uribe play/Floyd not getting him anyway and the Anderson play are huge. DJ and Hawk never talked about Anderson's base running. |

Why in the world do you challenge Cust with a fastball anywhere close to the plate with an 0-2 count????? |

I was just about to type: If Dotel gets Cust the games over cuz then Jenks would face the bottom of their order for the 9th. |
