They've been great for the last 2 weeks. They all hit a down period but this is very encouraging to see them recover in mid August. Not only are my division title hopes increasing but my confidence in a World Series title is going up a little bit. All four of them: Danks, Floyd, Buehrle and Vazquez. They've been great. Hell, even Broadway won his spot start for Contreras. You don't need a 5th starter come the playoffs. |

They have been great, and pitching is indeed what wins championships. That said, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. That Anahiem team looks mighty impressive and on paper I don't see any team in MLB that could beat them in a 7 game series right now. What gives me hope is that Boston has fallen back a bit and the Sox and Twins would both be right there for the Wild Card. I still think these upcoming road trips for the Twins is going to be thier downfall. Even if they play .500 for the next 30 games (of which, 24 are on the road) the Sox should be able to put some distance between themselves and the Twins. So the playoff chances for the Sox are looking better and better everyday. |

Angels are still the favorites. No doubt. But I can see the White Sox beating Boston, Tampa or Minnesota (If they get the Wild Card) in the playoffs. I don't see those teams as being that much greater then the Sox. |

Also.. I'm all for leaving Juan Uribe at 3rd base for the remainder of this. Even in the playoffs. I'm not even sure I'd put Crede on the roster at this point because overall Uribe has been solid. |
