I dont know if they were in the top 3, but the 1977 Dodgers had four guys with 30 or more homers (Cey, Garvey, Baker and Monday). I am pretty sure George Foster led that year or maybe Kingman, I think thats as close as it gets though. Plus 77 was the south side hitman, so Zisk and Gamble had to be in the leaders also. |

Good question. I know the '61 yankees had the 1 and 2 guys. Marris and Mantle. Canseco and Mcguire might have been 1&2. I don't know if anybody has finished 1,2,3. Maybe those bashers from the Rockies in the late 1990s. |

1995 came close in the NL: Bichette-COL 40 Sosa-CHC 36 Walker-COL 36 Bonds-SFG 33 Castilla-COL 32 You were right about the Rockies for that year. |

I am pretty sure about sosa and bonds, Bichette admitted to using them a few years back. Walker and Castilla, I think so. |

But I don't think Sosa started that year. 1998 started the 60+ homer years for him. Maybe those other guys didn't start until later. Who knows? It wasn't insane numbers in 1995. Bonds started in 1999. He got jelous over what Sosa and Mcguire were doing. |
