I don't think the tiebreaker should be determined by the season series, but I am a little surprised that they do not give the team that won the season series the home field advantage in a tie breaker. |

The problem with that, is that you have 1 team that SEEMS to have established superiority against a team, by virtue of having established a better record against them. Now you give them home-field. It would seem as if you would be really stacking the deck then. In the case of the Sox/Twins, the home-field advantage is huge. the difference in each teams home vs road records, is significant. I'm just hoping they get good weather and provide an entertaining game. the Sox seem to have the better of it with the pitching match-up. Looking forward to watching this one. If Blackburn pitches even half as bad as he did last week at the Baggie, Sox are gonna light him up for 4 or 5 runs in before the 4th inning. Momentum is clearly on the Sox side now. They were seemingly left for dead and have come roaring back. We've seen the Rockies (in '07) and Brewers go on incredible runs recently, so why not the Pale Hose. |

The Twins won the season series 10-8. Giving the Twins homefield based on that would have been fine by me. However, if it were 9-9, how would you determine homefield fairly without a coin flip? |

At some point a random tiebreaker might be necessary but maybe for division titles you go with division record; for wildcard you'd probably have to go to a coin flip after head-to-head. |

Keep throwing shit agaisnt the wall you might find something that sticks. |
