I just stumbled on this video (parts 1,2 and 3) and I couldnt believe my eyes. Someone saved their tape of the old place and they did a terrific job. I went six times that year including opening day and the last game ever. I thought you guys might love this as much as I did. I've watched it a number of times. A young FRank, one Dog, Pudge, A slender Sosa, Ivan Calderon and Alex Fernandez to name a few. The food, The posts. The Old Scoreboard was the only one like it for awhile. The Bullpen picnic areas. Wow the memories just swarm back. |

good stuff belvidere. my dad always wanted to take me to that park. he was born on the south side (but raised in new orleans) and grew up a sox fan; but we didn't move here until '93 so it was already gone... |
