B&B just announced this and I like that he's shaking things up a bit despite Ozzie's limited options. Funny he did this today as I called in the show yesterday to talk about putting Getz and Nix at 2nd and short. Hope he does well at short and Ramirez can find his swing, maybe he can go to center field.

Once Brian Anderson returns from the disabled list, Brent Lillibridge might be staring at a trip to Triple "A" Charlotte...

Last season, Alexei started out slow too, then heated up when the weather got warmer. Gotta wonder if that's going to happen again this year, or if the pitchers have figured him out a bit. If so, thats going to set the Sox back a bit, as he was being counted on as a major piece of their puzzle.

I don't see this lasting too long. It's all mental. You can tell he is frustrated during his ABs, and from Ozzie's comments it sounds like Alexei isn't seeking help/taking advice. A good ol' fashioned benching should do the trick.

From one Chris to another...That's the Sun-Times' Chris DeLuca that referred to Alexei before the season as "The Best Baseball Player in Chicago". The body of work simply isn't there for that kind of a proclamation. St. Charles Chris, I think Alexei will be back in the lineup by the time they head to (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland to start their next road trip Monday night...

Alexia or however he wants to be called now, once again starting. I guess Nix played too hard for Ozzie who doesn't play faves.
