Why is it that every time someone makes an error on this team, it bites them in the ass? Yes, Ramirez has flair and can make some great plays, but get your fuckin' head in the game. Grow some balls, Floyd and challenge these hitters! Is two runs going to win this game? |

Jayson "I should be wearing #6, not #5" Nix started at second base this eve instead of Chris Getz due to an injured ankle. Sorry, fans, Nix and six rhyme, and it would have made sense to give Jayson that number...Nix may be there again tomorrow night, based on what Ozzie told Ed Farmer before the game. Gavin Floyd appears to have settled down after giving up a two-run homer to Matt Holliday in the very 1st, while Anthony John Pierzynski's solo homer & Jermaine Dye's sac fly were the only runs the Sox could muster vs. Trevor Cahill...You're right, I've never heard of him. |

Oakland's bullpen is fucking awful. I hadn't heard of a single guy that they marched out there. |

I thought that lefty did pretty well, Breshow? Anyway, Jim Thome came through tonite and kudos to Floyd for holding the A's to two runs. This was a big win, although Cahill held the Sox in check for awhile. I love Thome in the middle of that lineup, whether he's on or off, I still think he's very dangerous and the opponents realize this. If he stays healthy, 30 HR's is not out of reach. As of late, he's been going with the pitch, including clutch hits to left field. Keep it up Jimmy! |

and Cahill is a 21 year old high first round pick...it was not like he was throwing nothing up there like some of the never-will-be the Sox have whiffed against. He had a very nice back door curve, and that umpire was calling everything for a strike. anyway, they get another young, talented pitcher again tonight |

There really is no reason the Sox should not win all 4 games in this series. The Oakland offense has almost no life beyond Holliday and the relievers could not hold onto a lead if the offense happens to give them one. I have a feeling Bartolo dominates tonight. |

The lineup is in for tonight's game vs. Oakland...Brace yourself, White Sox fans...JOSHUA Fields is out of the lineup tonight in favor of Wilson Betemit at third base. Pick your poison, Sox fans...Fields and his team-leading 53 K's, even though he now wears #7, or Betemit's frightening defense at third? I think we all remember what Betemit's defense led to the last time he started for the Chicago White Sox...A 20-1 beatdown by the Minnesota Twins! Last but not least, Jayson Nix and his awful .191 BA in limited action starts again at second base ahead of Chris Getz and the sore ankle. Paging Brent Lillibridge... |

OK, White Sox fans...Who in the hell is Vin Mazzaro? He had control issues early on, but the Sox let this no-name off the hook! He's three outs away from earning his first win, and the Sox are in danger of being shutout for the 7th time! EMBARRASSING!!! |

Never thought I'd be saying this, but I missed Josh Fields tonight! Nice post and call about Betemit, SHARK. And when is this we-suck-against-rookie-no-name-starters going to end? BTW, Toronto sent down two of those "rookie-no-name-starters" who beat the Sox back to the minors. |

Wilson Betemit booted what looked like a routine ground ball in the top 5th tonight at third base. It led to three unearned runs and the beginning of the end for Bartolo Colon as the White Sox got shutout for the 7th time this season 5-0 to this no-name Vin Mazzaro! Vin Mazzaro? HEY OZZIE...THIS BETTER BE THE LAST TIME BETEMIT PLAYS THIRD! |

I understand Betemit is a butcher with the glove, but is there a pitcher who works his way through errors any less than Colon. I swear the guy must have double digit unearned runs allowed this year. I agree that bench players should play once or so a week. Do they have to all play in the same game? |

Here are three disturbing stats, White Sox fans...The Southsiders lead Bud Selig's Major League Baseball with 7 shutouts this season, are only 1-5 vs. pitchers they've NEVER seen before, and averaging a rotten 1.1 runs per game in those games following Vin Mazzaro & the A's 5-0 shutout of the Sox last night. Guess what? The pitcher the Sox will be dealing with tonight is another guy I've NEVER HEARD OF, Josh Outman for Oakland. WCIU 26 "The U" is pre-empting "Tyler Perry's House of Payne", "Bernie Mac" and "Frasier" for this?! |

Hopefully, Pitcher Outman is not an "outman" at all. This is the night the Sox score some runs against a nobody and move forward. |

WittyMoniker2 wrote: Hopefully, Pitcher Outman is not an "outman" at all. This is the night the Sox score some runs against a nobody and move forward. It would be nice...It's my understanding that Ramon Castro, who will be sporting Corky Miller's previous #44 after all, will make his White Sox debut behind the plate for Anthony John Pierzynski tonight. Also, Wilson Betemit, "Mr. I Can't Play Third to Save 3 Runs", is tentatively supposed to DH for Jim Thome this eve. |

Post subject: | Re: Whitesox-A's |
Ramon Castro is sporting Joshua Fields' original number with the White Sox, #27, not #44 or #55 for that matter...0 for 3 in his Sox debut, and Castro seemed to lack chemistry with Clay Richard. #54 allowed 5 runs and 7 hits in 5.1 innings of work...Jim Thome, not Wilson Betemit, started at DH. |

It's believed Beckham, or Bacon as Ozzie calls him, will replace Wilson Betemit on this uneven roster. That move was just announced after the Sox latest loss. Betemit and his awful defense & low batting average was designated for assignment...Any idea what number Mr. Beckham will wear? I think he'll get Jorge Orta's old number #6... |
