Look for the Sox to begin a losing streak, as the Cubs throw Carlos Zambrano at them in game 1 of the Cubs/Sux series, followed by Randy Wells (Excellent ERA and OH NO....a rookie they have never faced) then Ryan Dempster. After they are demoralized in this series, the wheels will competely fall off and Kenny williams will wave the white flag and trade the few tradeable commodities (Dye/Jenks) he has and begin the rebuilding of the team.

Well that should pretty much mean a Sox sweep. :|

Don't forget that they can usually hit Cub rookies (think Sean Gallagher)

This series sucks because you get idiots like Steve making all sorts of stupid comments.

Yeah, I'll say meathead things to, but I'm not going to start a "LOSING STREAK ACOMING!" thread over in the Cubs forum.

This series sucks, and 6 games is far too much. 3 games a year is plenty. 2 series of meatballs is more than anybody should deal with. Fuck you, steve.

Come on Frank, this is the Meatball World Series (the closest a cub fan will ever get). Zing!

While that may be true, its still annoying. Especially being at one of those games.

I don't imagine the Cubs will get more than one run off of either Floyd or Contrearas.

I can't believe they're going to have a night game for a Cub/Sox matchup.

What's the over/under for arrests?

Be an idiot meatball in your own section at least.

I hope not...While Carlos Zambrano can dominate opposing hitters, we've also seen him erupt big time when things don't go his way. The only game that concerns me is the one on Thursday where the White Sox haven't seen Randy Wells, and he's pitched well enough to earn wins only to have his bullpen taketh away. The Jose Contreras we see Thursday may be a far cry from the guy who dominated the Tigers & Brewers in his last 2 starts...

In all the times the White Sox & Cubs have played games that count in the standings, regardless if it's Wrigley Field or U.S. Cellular Field, this is the first time in this Interleague series history that 3 of these games have been played on a Tuesday through Thursday. I know in past years, regardless of the ballpark, the two teams had played on a weekend.

That makes the most sense. Have all the zings you want (Frank, Keyser et al) in your sandbox. Enjoy, bon appetite, knock yourself out etc., etc. ES is courting disaster and karmic hell by starting this shit here. Dumb move and one just begging to be turned into Crow Souffle.
I imagine the Cubs will lose at least two of the three. It's the way things are going this year and I don't see much turning that around. Enjoy.

I thought I remember hearing that Reinsdorf wanted two series a year so he could be guaranteed 3 sure sellouts at the Cell.

So blame Jerry.

Sox vs. Brewers, Cubs vs. Twins for the other series.

And you alternate- one year the series is at Wrigley, the next year at the Cell. And so on.
