If you've noticed, the Sox celebrate their "white trash" fans in their "White Sox Traditions" commercials. They're trying to market to them. The one with the father and son who say they wear the same shirt to every game. So they show the duffus son, who's like 18 or 19, wearing the shirt he wore when he was 5 or 6. He has that dumb ass look on his face like he's been strung out on drugs for days. Then they have the one with the simple-looking mom with the Chicago accent blind folding her son. The radio commercials with Ranger kind of celebrate stupidity. Stupidity appeals to their dumb white fans. They know it. That's why we've seen this advertising campaign. |

Maybe someday more than 10 African American fans may turn up at Wrigley to feel the "love" of the Bleacher drunks. Enjoy your tourist and recent college grad transplant fans who don't give a damn if the Cubs team flight lands in the Hudson. Convince yourselves that the new owner will spend money on players like the Yankees because of all of your wonderful attendance figures. We had our Ligue's, you had the Board of Trade mope from Fenwick get punched out by your pitcher on the mound and then proceed to profit off of your dumb asses with his "It's Gonna Happen" bullshit.....Guess what...it ALWAYS happens with the Cubs....100 years and counting. What a "Happy Place" Wrigley Field is.....turn the clock back to the 1950s.....You are lucky enough to have your own human mascot........The "Non Threatening Negro Male", Woo Woo, who all the white kids in their 20s from cool places like Hanover Park and Schaumburg can buy beers for. Malcolm X must be spinning in his grave. If Hendry couldn't fleece the Pirates, he might be the dumbest GM in baseball....Wood, Prior, Soriano, Miltie, Fukudome.....enjoy. |

Yes Bob,the younger Cub fans you speak of are there for the scenery,booze & broads. At least 1) My team is not named after the other team in town! (White Stockings were the Cubs moniker in the early half of the 20th century) 2) My team has never worn shorts! 3) My team has never thrown a World Series. 4) My team recently has opened the checkbook to buy talent not forcefeed AAA-talent that smells like shit & have it's ass-kissing "Voice" (Hawk) tell the fans it smells like victory! 5) My team never had an owner that blackmailed the state to build a new park or they were moving to Florida. That's all I have for now,I'm sure others can join in. |

Bob, I have choked,as my team has choked since 1967. 42 years of watching this crap has worn me out! I respected what your Sox did in 2005 even though it made me sick to watch the celebration. I did like the SOX when Chuck Tanner was the manager. They had a colorful team back then,with Dick Allen,Bill Melton,Bart Johnson & Wilbur Wood. |

Cubs have white trash fans too. They just don't need to market to them cuz they sell out all the time. Cubs don't have to do any commercials to sell tickets to any group. People suck most of them up before the season starts. |
