He has a .4 Win Value Batting, and a 1.5 Win Value Fielding.

You had a feeling this was going to happen once Carlos Quentin returned to the active roster. Although CQ's the designated hitter tonight for Jim Thome, whose back is acting up, the outfield defense was going to get worse with Quentin in left and Podsednik in center. Now that Brian Anderson's a Red Sox in today's puzzling deal for Mark Kotsay and cash, the defense gets worse in my opinion. Besides, don't be shocked if you see Jayson Nix, normally a second baseman by trade, play some more outfield for this team, especially vs. lefties.

Just what the team needs, another guy in the OF who cannot field.

RFDC, what's this team to do then? The White Sox outfield defense even before this trade today sucks!

Ed Farmer's pregame "Manager's Show" would go from 90 seconds to 90 minutes.

I wonder if Ozzie doesn't do the "Manager's Show" with Farmer tomorrow...

When Thome sits Ozzie is going to have to think about playing the Panzy at DH. His defense is a joke.

Actually, Keyser, the White Sox used Joshua Fields, now optioned to Triple "AAA" Charlotte, and Carlos Quentin at DH in the first 2 games of this series in Minnesota. Part of the reason was lefty Glen Perkins starting Game 1 Monday night & the other was that Jim Thome's back flared up yesterday before Game 2. Ozzie did mention something about being careful with Quentin, the left heel and that awful FieldTurf the Twins still play on. With Francisco Liriano starting tonight & Andy Pettitte scheduled to start the 4-game weekend series with the red hot Yankees at "The Cell" tomorrow night, I'll be very interested to see not only who will be the DH if Thome remains out. I wouldn't be shocked one bit if you see Jayson Nix & Chris Getz BOTH in the starting lineup.
