White Sox Acquire Alex Rios

According to the New York Times' Tyler Kepner, the White Sox have acquired Alex Rios from the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays will receive nothing in return. Says Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi:

"This allows us to get out from under a contract and do more to address our club."

Blackcloud, I think it's safe to say J.P. Riccardi better update his resume. J.P. is not long for his job as General Manager in Toronto, eh? There's something wrong when the Blue Jays lose outfielder Alex Rios on a waiver claim like this but can't get equal value for Roy Halladay and Roy's still wearing a Jays' uniform.
