pater gammons on mike and mike says both will be traded by the start of next season from tampa due to payroll and other players they need to lock up. how would crawford look in center and kazmier as your # 3. say trade floyd, jenkes, and any other minor league talent thay want.

Crawford is a LF and I am hoping Jordan Danks can make the move to MLB next year.

I think KW is going to target Chone Figgins and put him in CF.

I would have said the same thing if Ozzie hadn't made Ramirez his shortstop for life earlier in the year.

Crawford's numbers are surprisingly underwhelming.

I've always thought that as well, especially for a LF. I'd love getting him in FA, but I think the hype would make getting him in a trade prohibitive.

Crawford is having maybe the best year. His OBP is .373, which is a career best. According to Baseball Reference, he's most similar to Bake McBride and Phil Bradley. Not very impressive. He's a good #2 hitter, not the answer to the CF or leadoff problems. And Crawford is not ideal as #2, either, b/c he strikes out quite a bit for a guy with modest power numbers.

It really does not matter. If history holds true, KW has been targeting Figgens since the start of the year. That's his man-crush...and as a 31 year old speed guy, there will be red flags all over that move, which would hopefully drop his price.
