Lackey will be no picnic on Tuesday but the Sox catch a HUGE break by missing Weaver, Vlad and Toriiiiiiiii. |

Thank God the Sox aren't facing Weaver. Asshole causes them fits. |

This thread's title needs to be changed to what this series really is: Honoring Mark Buehrle. The results of these games are ultimately meaningless in comparison. |

The Halo's got 52 hits in a 3 game series against the Twinkies ( albeit the 1st game was 11 innings)They are starting to remind me of the Gashouse Gorilla's |

Well, Jenks is out this series with kidney stones. They'd better score some runs. |

asswipe, if they score lots of runs, no need to worry about a closer or a save. You're old enough to get kidney stones, watch out. Though, at least once you get one, you'll have an excuse to sit down while you pee. |

You can't read, and you are correct I've got more stones than you'll ever have. Why didn't you comment on Rameriz error in Minnesota that never happened??? Cause you got no stones |

Lol, this top of the 3rd is great. Jose is bad, the ump is warning people for no reason, and Hawk is bitching. This is White Sox baseball. |

I'm very pleased that Guillen chose to take Contreras out rather than wait for the Angels to score 6 or 7 runs tonight. His control has been poor since the all-star break, back to the film room. |

Or to Charlotte. Get healthy quick, Mr. Peavy. |

Even though he's in uniform, Alexei Ramirez remains out of the starting lineup for the White Sox with the sprained ankle. If Alexei is still out of the lineup by the time the Cleveland Indians visit "The Cell" this weekend, the Sox better have Brent Lillibridge's number on speed dial and I think Alexei will likely be placed on the disabled list. Even though they claim it's not serious, it'll be a week since Alexei hurt his ankle trying to break up a double play in the DAMN METRODOME! |

Frank Coztansa wrote: Or to Charlotte. Get healthy quick, Mr. Peavy. This is very similar to early in the season, but I don't think they will send him down now. They would need his permission, and they would have to reach into the minors to find somebody to replace him. They are already down 1 starter to begin with. I'm not suggesting that Contreras will get back on track, hopefully he will, but I don't think they have much to turn to right now. The most frustrating thing about this guy is that other teams aren't really hitting him, it's all self-inflicted with his lack of control. |

Don't be shocked if Carlos Torres gets recalled from Triple "AAA" Charlotte to get another start before too much longer...Carlos got a no-decision, but kept the White Sox in the game they'd go on to win vs. Tampa Bay 2 weeks ago when he subbed for John Danks. They'll need a "fifth starter" three times, which may be just enough time for Jake Peavy to put on the #44 in silver & black at the end of this month. |

Since the Sox started the buzzsaw part of their schedule (TB, Det, Minn, NY, LAA) they are 8-8 with 2 games left. It would be HUGE if they were able to win 1 of the next 2 and finish this run .500. Keep your heads above water, Boys. Help is on the way. |

Any setup man with an era over 5.00, shouldn't be a setup man anymore. |

What about a closer with a +5 ERA, or a setup guy who leads MLB in hit batsmen? Quote: Contreras is one of the contracts that will soon come off the books financially... SHARK, how else would Jose come off the books? |

Not only is Pods a .300 hitter, that SOB gets clutch hits. I think he has 3 walk-off hits. Plus he's been the difference in a lot of 1-run games with hits or runs scored. The guy has been great. He's made up for his bad defensive plays big time. He's actually getting better in center. He made a nice catch today on a ball hit over his head. Not a great play but nice. |

They have also stayed right with the Tigers as well, but the worst is yet to come (at Boston, NY and Minnesota again). |

He has a made a few pretty nice defensive plays. He's also misjudged and fucked up more than a handful of fairly routine plays. |

I'm just saying he's helped more than he's hurt. We don't always lose the games where he fucks up in the outfield. His offense has helped us win a lot more games. |
