Kenny
What the fuck does Peavy do for you in August? Jose and Torres in the rotation isn't going to cut it. Don't mention Sweaty Freddie. Wasn't it fuckin Coop who liked Jose and Bartolo's side sessions in the spring??? Now he likes Garcia
give me a break and get a stop gap quick for you guys piss this away!

He got the best available pitcher. Obviously the asking price for Halladay was way too high, and you only get him for a season and a half.

The Indians were not going to trade Cliff Lee within the division.

I suppose, asswipe, you would have rathered Pavano or Washburn because they are able to pitch now

The Twins can have him.

Peavy > Pavano

If you think the Sox are just short one starter you are dumber than I imagined!

Come September, the Sox will be short just one starter.

If you think that Pavano, Smoltz, and/or Padilla make this team better, you are dumber than I imagined. Which is pretty tough to do because we pretty much figure you to be a complete moron.

If you think a rotation of Danks, Flyod, and Buehrle will carry this team until Peavy pitches you are nuts. So you'll just leave the staff the way it is then....right?

I guess Buehrle is an asswipe too!

Some of us are confused figuring out what [Williams] is doing if [Peavy] is going to be another month away. I don't know what's helping us for this next month."

No, you're still the asswipe.

As others have mentioned, what will help them now is giving teams 27 outs and not 29 or 30 like they have been.

Well you and others give me the details of how you make the Sox better defensively? With who also!

Yes. Considering it's August 10th, and Peavy is due back August 28th (or so), there is not one move the Sox can make without shocking the baseball world with a waiver wire move, that will dramatically alter the current rotation. The #5 spot, when used, hasn't been good, and that probably won't change. Contreras hasn't been good either, and that probably won't change much either. Bringing in Padilla, calling Garcia up probably won't magically fix the rotation. To suggest otherwise is not correct.

Take your chances with Torres. He was not good on Saturday, but he had a decent MLB debut.

What would signing Padilla change for the #5 spot in the White Sox rotation? Is it because you've heard of him and that somehow makes him better than he really is?

He is better than what they have. And he isn't afraid to hit somebody. What is all the love for Contreras and Torres?

So to clarify:

You firmly believe that any one of these 3 pitchers-- Padilla, Washburn, Pavano-- make the White Sox better than them having Jake Peavy.

So Kenny should NOT have traded for a proven, solid ace?
