is the fact that carlos quetion can't hit ??
is the fact that dye and paully have left the ballpark and taken the offense with them ??
is it the fact that scotty pods is our most constintant offensive player ??
is the fact that only thortan should be used out of the pen ??
is it the fact that bacon has hit the wall ??
is it the fact that we can't catch the fen ball ????

Awful defense. Bad pitching. Bad hitting. And a ton of mental mistakes. All of these together equal a bad 2nd half.

Bad bullpen. The starters have the 3rd best ERA in the American league (4.33)

Good call. And yet it was not too long ago that beardown (where is he btw) was proclaiming this bullpen as the best in baseball.

A bad middle bullpen. the back end is as solid as it gets.

it's all ozzie's fault. he's too negative. he lacks the fire and passion. the players are tired of his fire and passion. he doesn't pitch jenks in tie ballgames.

I think the inability of this offense to get clutch hitting with less than 2 out has been a BIG reason why the White Sox are mired in this funk right now. If I could single anybody out, I could point the finger at Jermaine Dye, who's BA since the All-Star Break has been around .100, and Alex Rios simply hasn't looked comfortable since he came via waivers. I believe his BA is under .200 since Toronto decided to let him go.

Other than D.J. Carrasco, Matt Thornton & Bobby Jenks, who in that White Sox bullpen can you trust to get important outs? I rest my case...

its really quite simple. Pitching and defense wins baseball games. The Sox lead the league in errors and have a horrific bullpen. Overall, the starters aren't bad. So basically of the 3 components of pitching/defense the Sox fail in 2 and get a passing but not amazing grade in the the 3rd part. They deserve to suck as much as they do.

I can't remember who said it actually. Someone had a really funny post that had that quote and it sounded like an avid North defender, so I went with that. If anybody can find that post (I'm too dumb to understand the search function here) that would be sweet.
