Royals Agree To Sign Scott Podsednik By Tim Dierkes [January 8 at 8:28am CST] 8:28am: ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick tweets that the Royals have agreed to sign Podsednik. The outfielder will take a physical today. FRIDAY, 8:19am: Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweets that Podsednik has a deal with a club. It certainly appears that he'll sign with the Royals. THURSDAY, 10:51pm: Will McDonald of Royals Review passes along information from an appearance Royals GM Dayton Moore made on 610 Sports Radio. Moore told listeners the Royals are close to signing a speedy outfielder. McDonald guesses Moore was referring to Scott Podsednik. ESPN's Jerry Crasnick wrote yesterday that the Royals were eyeing Podsednik, Rick Ankiel, and Randy Winn as center field candidates. |

Wrong Section. Pods and BA in the same outfield. Maybe the Royals can sign Dye and have the 2006 Sox outfield playing for them. |

The Royals now have the Panzy, Anderson, Getz, Fields, Captain Tightpants, Juan Cruz and Jason Kendell on their roster. Building a team full of Chicago rejects isn't a recipe for success. |
