26 ab's, 12 games.

4 Hrs. 12 rbi's .500 obp 2 (FUCKING TWO) strikeouts!

Must have been Walkers fault.

World Series or bust!

He sucked when the Sox had expectations to win. Very Dunn like.

Soriano having a great spring too, but I am not saying "He is back"

He is just hitting bad pitching well.

That is probably correct. However, I think at some stage last year, this thing had to be playing in his head mentally, so I can't see how this would be anything but helpful to him, moving into the regular season.

Lets not forget that Caleb Hanie looked really good on September 2nd with a 128.3 passer rating. Well, you can forget the exact total of his performance, but lets not forget that he did generally well during the preseason and then did poorly during the regular season.

The best thing he could do is have a good season and get traded.

Problem is now Crazy Kenny Williams can shoot for the stars....THE 2ND WILD CARD!!!!
Just loved Kenny's quotes in the Times Saturday about the horrible outfield defense.....where he says Viciedo is "SHAKY" in LF and Rios in RF has the arm of an LF.
Then our RAH RAH WIN NOW General Manager said the White Sox outfielders are INTERCHANGEABLE!!!!!
   :drunken:

I'll take .240, 25 and 75. Some would say he's due to rebound to hitting his established norms, but last year was so horrendously bad, we might be witnessing the "Dead Cat Bounce".

Yes Yes!!

And Rios!

Throwin this out there......

What if the Sox are 5 games above 500 going into July and a couple of games in first? Rios, Dunn, AJ, Paulie, and Peavey are all having solid years. All are drawing interest. Dump them all? Some? I come there and help them pack, drive them to the airport and wave goodbye as they fly off to Arizona, NY, Miami, Cleveland, etc.

Does Kenny have the sack to have a white flag trade while in first? You'd have to do it right?

Why on earth would you have a fire sale if you are in first place in July?

And it would never happen. Even though I think the so-called "White Flag Trade" made all the sense in the world at the time and I never thought they could catch Cleveland, it got so much bad publicity, I don't think the Sox would dare do something similar again.

They were 3 or 3.5 out. Close, but point is they were not in first place at the time of that trade. Why Belvidere would suggest doing such a thing is 100% moronic.

That's why running a team isn't easy. The fans want you to get rid of every bum, which is impossible to do. And then, when a guy is doing well enough that you can move him, the fans will scream if you do.

Does KW strike you as a guy who does the right thing all the time? Or really even a majority of the time?

Well call me crazy, but I'd rather win a division/WS title with a couple of overpaid bums than start moving guys on a first place team to save money for next year.

KW always thinks he is doing the right thing. One thing about him is that the majority of his moves are to "win now." If his team is in first place in July, he isn't moving a guy like Rios, Dunn, or Konerko unless just an absolute steal of a deal came about.

Love your show, but man, it's time to stop with the "KW won a WS" because that was fucking 7 years ago and the Sox have been getting steadily worse each year. You know this.

Show me where I said that in this thread.

You can't because I never said that in this thread.

I said his moves are to win now, and no they don't always work. But if (when) the Sox are indeed winning now, he will not be making a salary dump move.

Sorry. When I saw "win a world series with a couple overpaid bums" naturally I thought you were talking abotu '05.

No. I meant that I would be perfectly fine with the Sox winning a WS while overpaying for Rios and Dunn, much like I'm sure if the Cubs won in '07 or '08 they wouldn't have cared what the payroll was.

Hey Frank, it was '08 and stop with the "Frank Chance won a World Series", okay?
