So now that he signed his $29 million deal, did Garland revert back to blowing balls? 9 runs in his first game, 7 so far today through 5 innings. Was last year just a case of a guy coming up to a contract year? |

I'm not really sure what his deal is, but Stink and I both agree that too much sideways vagina in the offseason is the culprit. |

ZING. And to think he tried to play that groin injury off as a baseball injury. |

However, coming out there in the 6th up 10-3 and pulling a Judy Garland shows absolutely no sack. |

Yeah, let's not panic just yet - hopefully, it's just taking a bit longer for him to get into a groove. |

good dolphin wrote: It wasn't a contract year. You are correct, my apologies. Although it wasn't a contract year, it was a "put up or shut up" year for him. It seems this year and the end of last year he has lost a little of that swagger and confidence that he had in the first half of '05. I'm not panicking yet, but I am concerned. Hopefully Coop and Ozzie can set him straight and help him find his sack. |

Wasn't there already a thread last week about Garland's train wreck of a start? |

In all honesty, I would be more worried about his performance during his first start in KC. The Tigers have been pouncing (pardon the pun) on their opposition basically every game this year offensively. While I don't believe 13 hits should be excusable, I do think we need to keep in mind the surprising talent Detroit has showcased thusfar. |
