The place is supposedly open for an hour after the game ends, but it seems pretty arbitrary as to when they actually close up. Last night they bum rushed everyone out of there real quick. Personally, I don't care too much since I'd rather drink 3 dollar beer at Shinnick's than pay the ballpark prices. But I think it's unconscionable that people who don't know any better get fooled into buying 24 oz. cans of Miller for $9.50 and then aren't given a reasonable amount of time to drink them.

yeah there was a game my friend and i went to years ago when it was blistering cold. we were in our seats for probably 8 innings until we couldn't really take it anymore, and went into the bar. about 45 minutes after the game ended, we were ushered out. we hadn't even really gotten warm yet. kinda sucked. and yeah it's expensive as shit, too...

Actually a 24oz beer for $10 inside of a ballpark is not all that bad.

The Scottie Pippen vendor gave me the wrong change last year twice. Times are tough.

So it's not just me then - everybody knows the Scottie Pippen vendor?

It cool to stiff Scottie Pippen when he's trying to shortchange you (and funny considering his doppelganger's nickname), but make sure you tip Lloyd, Stacy, and Bob Shaw well.

Here's a tip for you: There's a great site called Chicagoland Sportbikes.com, you should take your posts over there. They'll love you, Rod.

Nope, it's just me. 6 years strong. Unlike you, when you'll be gone in 6 months. If that.

You seem to be very proud of your tenure posting on a message board. Isn't that kind of pathetic?

Now he can have the last word, Bryan.

I know you are happy for me, but I actually met Dave Wills in the Bullpen Sports Bar many years ago. At the time, Wills was the pre & postgame host when the White Sox were down the dial at ESPN Radio 1000 and long before he became one of the radio voices of the Tampa Bay Rays. Wills and the current pre & post on 670 The SCORE, Chris Rongey, used to broadcast their Friday home pre & postgame shows from below the right field stands before the Ranger moved those shows about a month into last season right behind the plate at the Jim Beam Club.

At most of the bars in the immediate Wrigley area: $5-$6 for a 12oz. can.
