Today feels a lot like the opener in 05.

Same teams. Same starting pitchers.

Good weather (not as warm in 05, but I recall that it was sunny).

Sox lost some thumpers in the offseason (CLee and Mags in 05 / Thome and Dye this time) and were supposed to be playing a NL-style game. Nobody thought they could score enough runs to be a factor.

I'm not saying that the season will unfold the same way. I'm just saying that the opener feels the same.

Aren't the Indians on some sort of local TV too? I'm pretty sure the game is on CSN as well as ESPN 2 here.

Somehow even though I am 2 hours closer to cleveland than cinci I get the cinci games. Why does this need to be on both espn and espn 2?
