Its waaaaaaaay early. The 03 Marlins were bad to start off. But 4-8, about to be 4-9. Whats goin on? I thought theyd be good(non-sarcastic).

Ya know, theyre killing Hawk. :(

No Juan Pierre on base equals no jump start to the Ozzieball era.

It could be worse, you could be a National fan whose team just gave up 10 runs in the first inning.

The key to the '03 Marlins was firing Torberg and hiring Mckeon......hint, hint

That Counsell Grand slam was a big F U to Krazy Ivan.

Wish I could find the post I made a few months ago where I said "OH COME GUYS WE DO THIS SHIT EVERY YEAR" and someone said "no it's different this time" regarding fictitious Ozzieball, but the search engine never works here.

EDIT: oh here, January 28th,

You guys say this EVERY YEAR!

This time I think it is true. Without J.D and Thome this team has a faster more versatile lineup. Konerko is still a piano pulled, but at least that's just one and not three. I don't know if the changes will pan out. I guess we will have to wait and see. After all that's the fun part right?

I bet you guys actually sign Jermaine Dye this year.

I was thinking the same thing during yesterday's tilt. How long til we sign Jermaine Dye?

0-3 in stolen bases so far today, Ozzieball indeed.

Ozzie and Kenny remind me of guys that hit on 18 once at the blackjack table and won, so they think they've invented a new "hit on 18" system.

Adrian Gonzalez currently 1.070 OPS

Also, the "hit on 18" system is also one endorsed by Nas. Had to get that out of the way.

Ozzie's gonna show you his way is the right way even though the whole civilized world knows it's wrong.

Didn't the Padres said they'd do the deal, Beckham for Gonzalez. But that's the only deal they'll accept from the White Sox for Gonzalez. They want Beckham's cheap salary on their payroll. White Sox might have to throw in Flowers and Hudson to get it done.

If they can get Gonzales, they should move Gordon Bunt'em tomorrow.

Only if it's "soft" at the time and she's a "nine, ten or an Ace".

I just loved some of the White Sox Fanboy posts this Winter about the HORROR facing the Twins when the Twins had to play baseball OUTSIDE!!!!!

The Twins won with a team built around pitching and defense. Now the Twins win with a team built around home runs. Maybe it is the Sox talent evaluators who are the problem.

Theyre wasting Alex Rios good start, he's not gonna hit like this all year.

Well it's better than his 09 season. But he's hitting the ball hard, im sure his bapip is low.

But if that's the case, it suggests he should get better, no?

Post subject:  Re: Ozzieball...WTF???

Correct, Roger. In the opening homestand of the season, Rios was hitting ropes all over the ballpark. Unfortunately, just about every one of them was right at a corner outfielder. I know you can't really quantify that, but it shows that he is/was swinging the bat pretty well.

Post subject:  Re: Ozzieball...WTF???

Rios isn't the problem here, fine. He was just a bonus if you could get something resembling his career numbers this year. This guy is the 6-7 hitter. This lineup needs the leadoff man to get on, and consistent contact from the 3-5 hitters. Quentin and Konerko are driving in a few runs, but everyone is around the Mendoza line. .214 as a team is not going to cut it.

Right or that his avg should be higher now. But I think he's playing above his head. I cant trust a guy who gets worse 3 consecutive years. So even if the BAPIP trends back to league avg, he wont be hitting this well by then.

But you CAN quantify it! Numbers are your friend Francis!

My issue is that Rios needs to step into the 5 hitter role because they really don't have anyone else who should be hitting there.
