They have those weird 2 game series coming up with Detroit and Minnesota. If they don't win at least 3 out of 4, let the fire sale begin.. |

Sox need to move AJ before his no trade privileges kick in next month. Send AJ and Teahen to the Cubs for Hill and Aramis. |

They aren't going to get much for any of their players. If Konerko keeps his power stroke, and the Sox remain way out of contention, he could be moved in July. |

Guys, Paul Konerko likely brings the White Sox the most bang for their buck, but if they trade him, Bobby Jenks, Mark Buehrle and/or A.J. Pierzynski, it likely happens in July when the MLB Trade Deadline approaches. The way the Sox are playing, I wouldn't be shocked if they have to trim payroll and bring the youngsters up. The trouble with that is C.J. Retherford, Brent Morel, Alejandro De Aja & Jordan Danks aren't hitting respectively at Triple "A" Charlotte & Double "A" Birminham at this stage to warrant them coming to the bigs. |

Might be lucky and get some developmental types, prospects is probably too much to expect. More along the line of salary dumps, with the year Konerko is having so far, he may play himself into somebody giving him a $12-$15 million contract. |

If the Sox are 10 games out in July (or worse), of course they are going to try and move some of their veteran players for younger talent. The problem is, I don't think they will get much for any of their guys unless it's Konerko, and that's only if he continues to hit HR's. Obviously, he'll slow down some, but if he has 25 HR in July, he will bring something of worth back. I don't care about the minor league players right now - it comes down to economics. If the team is out of contention, it makes sense to attempt and cut payroll. |
