He's right though. There's a handful of umps (Joe West, Angel Hernandez are the worst. CB Bucknor is pretty bad too) that are total assholes and love nothing more than to steal the spotlight and throw somebody out of the game.

Fact is those games are always the longest in baseball. Maybe it is becuase they have more ads, but those are usually 4 hour games

Both teams have a "work the count " philosophy and there's nothing wrong with that.

And unlike the intelligent and sensible folk from places like Tippecanoe County, the city slickers in Boston and New York are highly susceptible to commercial advertisements. This is probably why Purdue games are commercial free events.
