While Kenny Williams went ahead and drafted Ozney in the 23rd round, Ozzie told everyone that Ozney is going to scholl instead of playing for the Sox. Nice pick. |

Last year's 23rd round pick by the Sox went 0-3 in the minors. 8 of the 27 players drafted in rounds 23 or later don't have any minor league stats. Last year's 23rd round pick by the Cubs doesn't have a single minor league statistic and outside of the fact that he was drafted he doesn't even show a minor league baseball profile. 16 out of the 27 players drafted in rounds 23 or later don't have any minor league stats either. I have a feeling that going to school is common for players drafted late. |
