How quickly we forget! The more I think about it, the more I think Gordon Beckham should've been with the White Sox from the getgo at second base, not third. Beckham clearly won the second base job last Spring Training, but the business of Bud Selig's Major League Baseball had Becks starting in the minors. While we all know Beckham has struggled at the plate this season, his second base defense has been very good. If the Sox are smart, keep #15 right where he is.
As for Omar Vizquel, there's talk that the Rockies may be interested in the veteran infielder. I'm still very bothered & insulted that he's wearing #11 as a White Sox, which is SUPPOSED TO BE RETIRED in honor of Luis Aparicio.
I'll be more interested when Mark Teahen is ready to return from his broken index finger what happens. If Dayan Viciedo ends up taking away the third base job full time, I have a feeling Teahen then becomes a utility player, much like he was in Kansas City. Besides, the Sox also have Brent Lillibridge who can give Beckham a breather at second base & Alexei Ramirez at shortstop. The possibilities are endless at this stage...
