Wow, 2 blown calls in the Sox favor, that have helped them avoid 1st and 2nd with no outs. |

Nice win, Boys! Gavin is throwing the ball great. Alexei and The Carlos Quentin are on fire and Viciedo looks like he's going to be a big time hitter. This was a BIG win because the Dream Weaver owns the Sox. Peavy needs to have his A game tomorrow night. |

At the time when it was a 1-0 and 2-0 game, those calls are huge. |

Tonight is going to have to be won by pitching. Weaver is 4-0 with an ERA under 1 in 5 starts against the Sox. Peavey will have to match Weaver and hope that the Sox bullpen can top the Angels. I see this one being 2-1 in extra innings. |

Pierre lf Ramirez ss Rios rf Konerko 1b Kotsay dh Pierzynski c Jones cf Viciedo 3b Lillibridge 2b Quentin out with a bum knee so Jones is in center and Rios in right? Um...ok. Lillibridge gets another start at 2B. |

That did not look good. Not at all. It sure looked like Peavy just pulled a Zumaya |

I just pulled up the gametracker for this one and it says that Pena is already pitching in the 2nd? Is that right and if so, what happened to Peavy? |

Threw a pitched, and leaped off the mound in pain, clearly favoring his right elbow. Walked right off into the locker room. |

I can't believe Pena is still out there. He's not a long man Ozzie. |

Tigers were down 2 in the ninth, got a 2-run homer from Cabrera and won it in extra innings. Twins were down 3 and came back to win. Bitches. |

You gotta love it. Rios was suppose to get a day off but Quentin was a late scratch. So Rios ends up playing and hits a homer and has both our RBIs. Would have been a 2 run homer if that dumb ump didn't fuck up that call. But, then again, you never know. Maybe Rios doesn't get that cookie pitch if there is a guy on first. You just never know if Weaver would have thrown something different with a guy on. |

Huge win beating the Dream Weaver and another great performance from the bullpen. 7.1 innings of scoreless baseball. These guys have been unbelievable this year. Pierre had a nice game (2 doubles 2 SB's), Rios came out of the little funk he was in and there was an Andruw Jones sighting! Big Gamer needs to keep it rolling tonight for the series win and chance for the sweep tomorrow. |

Can't give enough credit to the bullpen for last night. Daniel Hudson - your plane ticket is ready. |

Tonite is a big game for a few reasons. Win tonite and you have taken at least 3 of 4 from one of the better teams in the AL, and with Pena and the pen having to go almost 8 full innings last night, they are taxed and Freddy needs to pitch deep into the game. |

Post subject: | Re: Sox/Halos |
I didn't realize this was a 4 game series until your post, Frank. With no off days unitl the ASB, they may want to call up a reliever until Peavy's turn (Sunday I think) and then swap that reliever for Hudson. |

CQ hurt that knee on that catch Monday night robbing Torii Hunter of extra bases. Let's also see if Brent Lillibridge can continue the hot hitting as the impromptu DH and if Gordon Beckham can hit the baseball again like he seemed to be doing on that road trip... |

I know we are going to see Vizquel back in there at some point, but I have to say that I am impressed with the way Viciedo swings the bat. He hasn't had many hits to speak of, but he has good selection, and he is making good contact for the most part. |

SJBoyd, when Mark Teahen comes off the disabled list from his broken index finger, Ozzie's got a decision to make concerning who could be the odd man out. Dayan Viciedo has looked pretty good since Omar Vizquel hurt his left kneecap Sunday night in Texas. Brent Lillibridge has been hitting the baseball the last few days starting for Gordon Beckham at second base, but Brent has made a couple of wild throws late in games and appears to be learning on the job. Last but not least, Andruw Jones has been scuffling since getting off to a hot start and had become a bit of a forgotten man until the Carlos Quentin injury to his knee Monday night on that incredible catch. That being said, I've said it before and I'll say it until I'm blue in the face. Beckham's not going anywhere, in spite of the disappointing batting average and 51 K's he has at the plate this season. I think it's between Jones, Lillibridge & Viciedo. One of those three, barring a trade, will be packing their bags. |
